Service Story
James William Nugent was born in Deloraine Tasmania and enlisted in Claremont on the Third of August 1915 at the age of 34 and 5 months. He was a labourer before the war and was married. James embarked from Melbourne, Victoria on the 16th of October 1915, on the ship HMAT Port Lincoln A17. He started in the 12th battalion, 10th Regiment, but later moved into the 4th Machine Gun Battalion. He returned to Australia on the 5th of April 1919.
