Service Story

Sergeant Albert Henry Sanson was born in Williamstown Victoria. He previously served in the Boer War as a Private in the 2nd  Australian Commonwealth Horse (Victoria). He was 35 years old when he reenlisted at Pontville Tasmania. He embarked on the HMAT Geelong A2 on the 20th October 1914. serving with the 12’h Battalion D Company as a sergeant. He lived in Queenstown, his records indicate that he was a labourer before he re-enlisted. His religion was Presbyterian and he was married. Sergeant Albert Henry Sanson was returned to Australia 21st  March 1915.
